5 peaches , peeled, cored and sliced (about 4 cups)

Instructions
Stir sliced peaches, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. (If using canned peaches, skip steps 1 and 2 and follow the directions starting at step 3).
Simmer for a few minutes over medium heat to dissolve the sugar and release peach juices. Set aside.
